According to today’s Women’s Wear Daily, fur designer Dennis Basso is about to get a heavy dose of competition on Michigan Ave. Gilles Mendel plans to open a J. Mendel boutique on Michigan Avenue near Louis Vuitton. Dennis Basso opened his store at 980 N. Michigan Ave. last November.
