Kara Janx at Girlshop. A Missed Opportunity. Second City Style Fashion Blog

July 30, 2006 • Fashion

Boo hoo. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I (and Second City Style) adore Kara Janx. Not only do I dig her jersey kimono wrap dresses (which I purchased after showing me 5 times how to tie it properly), and boy-shorts (which she made me try and I now love), but she has to be one of the nicest people I may have ever met. So when I personally received an invite from her to attend her trunk show at Girlshop in NYC last Thursday, I was seriously bummed. After all, I live in Chicago and finding airfare that was less than a king’s ransom was going to prove impossible.

For Fall 2006, Kara’s now famous kimono wrap dress comes in 100% silk. Kara Janx has outlived her Project Runway 15-minutes and has made a
name for herslelf with a bold, sexy, and feminine
collection. Kara is not afraid of color and
texture proving so with a collection of silk screened tees, tailored blazers, and wool shorts.  Kara Janx
