It’s impossible to discuss an Oscar show without referencing the
socialite & fashion A-list mob scene/circus at the check in. From
Aerin Lauder to Linda Wells (Allure Editrix) to The Donald
& the missus (aka Melania), anyone who lunches, or even aspires to
lunching, was in attendance. And the show? A sea of gorgeous little day
dresses with eyecatching prints, sundresses, cocktail gear, and red
carpet Gowns (with a capital “C”).  While some of the bubble skirts
featured an extremely exaggerated pouf shape, it was balanced off by a
body conscious bodice and still extremely wearable.

Color Palette:
white ground with red poppies; white with blue poppies; beige, cream
& gold, black, bright blue, lipstick red, slate grey, Crayola yellow

Textures & Details: ruffles, prints & oversized prints, bubble skirts, brights, flats

Key looks:
red day dress; cobalt evening column; crayon yellow ball gown with
oversize Russian-ethnic print along hem; black & white lace jackets
& coats.
