Well, it was bound to happen. What an interesting day in the world of fashion and beauty indeed.

According to today’s WWD, Kressley will introduce Perfect by Carson Kressley on QVC with a
two-hour, prime-time slot Nov. 29. The moderately priced collection of
women’s "perfected basics" will include career staples, casual pieces,
outerwear and accessories that retail from about $30 to $200. The line
is primarily for women, but it includes men’s outerwear so the QVC
female customer can order a bomber jacket or car coat just in time for his Christmas gift.

"It’s all the great basics women should have in their wardrobe, but
surprisingly don’t," Kressley said. "We didn’t invent anything crazy
and different, but we revitalized the basics and made them perfect." The wear-now pieces will come in sizes 2 to 24.

concept for the collection began last year when Kressley cohosted QVC’s
Fashion Footwear Association of New York Shoes on Sale charity event,
where he offhandedly suggested the idea to executives from the $7
billion home shopping firm. "I guess that is the power of celebrity:
You say something will be fun, and soon you are in China making
sweaters," said Kressley. "QVC couldn’t be a better fit — pun intended
— because it combines television with retail." Brilliant.

And you thought he was only interested in men! If nothing else, it will be an entertaining two hours. Oye.
