What could a girl living in Paris want for Christmas? Decisions, decisions… It was not hard though; I just waltzed over to Rue St. Honore and found my top choices. This year my Christmas list is themed with the essential Parisian C’s: Chanel, Cartier, and Chloe.
Top of the list: Chanel is perhaps the definitive Parisian brand (and my absolute favorite label). If I could dress in it everyday, I would. These are the current displays in the Rue Cambon location (the original location, where Coco’s actual studio is located). The little black dress on the left of the display is absolutely extraordinary, complete with pearl and satin embellishments. The ensemble on the right includes a popular item right now in Hollywood: the black leather Chanel driving gloves (love them). Always chic, always on the cutting edge… I heart Chanel.
My second item is a brilliant 12-carat pear shaped diamond Cartier bague (French for ring). This bijoux was hard to miss as I passed the window displays. Sparkling, crystal clear (or rather, diamond clear!), just dazzling. Set in platinum with 2.50 carats set in the band. I thought this would be a nice accessory for my Chanel ensemble. Price upon request, only found at the Place Vendome location.
Okay, okay… I must admit… I want an “it” bag (but this one is pretty fabulous!). My final pick for Christmas 2006 is Chloe’s Paddington bag in royal blue. Currently sold out in most stores in the States, I was able to find my beloved bag at the Chloe St. Honore location (located directly across the street from the American Embassy). Royal blue is my favorite color and is one of the most wanted colors for Fall 2006 collections. Rich lambskin leather complete with Chloe’s famous brass lock, this bag is a must have.
