Second City Style’s 12 Days Of Christmas (Shopping). Finds On A Dime – Rachel Yeomans’ Picks.

The holidays are about giving to others, spending time with the people you love, snow angels, cookies and wondering when the inevitable fruit cake will arrive. But the holidays are also about gifts, and wishing for those impossible gifts that you pretty much know you will never receive. So going along with the holiday spirit, here are some of those items alongside the necessary vacuum cleaner and pillow shams on my Christmas wish list.

Throughout every holiday season, we ladies have grown to become much more excited over those teeny boxes under the Christmas tree than anything larger than a hat box. In my box, I would love to see this Alexis Bittar Butterfly Necklace. I have not been an avid fan of the butterfly image ever since it got trendy for tattoos, but the profile image and colors of the glass encased butterfly wing are so gorgeous, that the first time I saw it I just couldn’t stop thinking of what top I would wear to show it off. Normally I am also drawn to silver, but the gold 20â€? hoop chain just makes it shimmer. Art Effect $460.00

These boots were made for walking! I have been on a quest to find those perfect cowboy boots that aren’t casual enough to warrant a lasso accessory, and that when worn won’t bag out around my calves. These gorgeous Casadei Boots seem to be my boot salvation! The gold scale exterior and the chunky heel would pair perfectly with a flowy knee-length black dress and large hoops. Zappos $1,598.95

Jackets have always been a staple in my wardrobe. So when I see one that would look fabulous with either jeans or black pants, I jump for it. And this black Elie Tahari Gillian Coat would turn any pair of skinny jeans into a chic casual outfit. And paired with a big belt, black slacks and colorful stilettos, I’d be ready for my night on the town. Neiman Marcus $598

Sparkles, sparkles, sparkles. As soon as the holidays come around, I love sporting the shimmers of the season with cardigans, jewelry and amazing footwear. And these fabulous Prada Pumps with Paillettes are the perfect holiday accessory. Pair them with a solid black dress or skirt and flowy tank, and you’ll be the toast of the Christmas party. Rafaello-Network $503

Long-sleeved dresses that don’t resemble schoolteacher jumpers are more difficult to find than one might think. However, this black Diane von Furstenberg Taffeta Wrap Dress
would demand nothing less than awe and admiration with its v-neckline and collar and sleeve cuffs. Plus its just-below-the-knee length is perfect to show off those strappy shoes for the season.$313.95 at Zappos.

And now to celebrate the holiday spirit, it is time to set myself aside for a moment and think of others—such as our ladies’ male arm candy during the upcoming holiday gatherings. I am not normally fond of jewelry on men, but this Catherine M. Zadeh Buffalo Horn & White Gold Bracelet can be the exception. It brings to mind something Robert Redford would wear with a nice suit and tie. And anything Robert Redford might wear is worthy of distribution. Neiman Marcus $425
