Maybe it’s because I’ve seen the same generic ad copy for cosmetics as of late, with words like "pretty, natural, lovely, lady, and classic," making their inevitable appearance. Don’t misunderstand, I’m about as classic as they come, but sometimes even the most tasteful of trendsetters needs to shake it up a bit. Oh, and I do mean shake it and I’m not alone. Makeup artist Alison Padavan, a diehard music fan, grew up attending industry events and hung out with the top music stars who inspired her. After graduating from New York University and forging a successful career as a makeup artist, Alison was asked to create custom makeup and nail colors for new artist music tours and star-studded events and soon after her company, Rock Hard Cosmetics, was born.
