When I can get just about anything in the world in less than 3 minutes after I want it, there’s bound to be some competition between those who want to satiate. Eric Wilson reports on a case in point: NYC’s Scoop and Intermix. Working off the model that fashion is about what you do with what you’ve got instead of simply the label on the back of what you’ve bought, they both use a model (although Intermix did open its doors a bit earlier) than that many smaller boutiques (not to mention smart women) have been using, using high and low-priced items to create stylish ensembles. With both stores expanding at rapid speed their quest for the latest and greatest can only make sure I’ve got what I want just a little bit faster.
