The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards took place last night. Let’s see who the fashion winners and losers were:
Kate Walsh may be the only person who can wear yellow well. Boy does she wear it well.
Cate Blanchett looked amazing (as usual) in this bronze beaded Armani gown.
Yeah America Ferrara for smacking two in a row out of the park! Ugly Betty isn’t ugly, she’s a Betty. This woman obviously works jewel tones well. Bravo!
Finally. After an ‘Oh No’ at the Globes, Sandra Oh pulls it together for the SAGs in this nude lace gown.
The bright color award goes to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for oozing glamour in this red Carolina Herrera gown.
I wish her hair was a little better, but Kyra Sedgwick looked slamming in this slinky, beaded vintage Hervé Leger gown.
I think I have to now admit that Eva Longoria knows how to dress (or her stylist does). She surprised me at the Globes and again in this understated, gray/dove gray iridescent Vera Wang gown.
Ellen Pompeo looks like she is being strangled by her metallic gray sack dress. She also looks too severe with her hair pulled back so tightly.
Katherine Heigl is too young to look this old. I expect to see a dress like this on someone twice her age. The color does nothing for her, or me.
OK. I know I’m going to catch flack for this one. I wouldn’t say Reese Witherspoon was one of the worst parse, but after her look at the Golden Globes I’m disappointed. The dress is actually quite nice, but IT DOESN’T FIT! Yes, she shed some lbs. after kicking her husband to the curb and looks fantastic…but that is reason #1 to have your clothes altered. The tailor should be your friend!
Holy Bubblegum! Jada Pinkett Smith’s vintage hot pink Bob Mackie Couture gown was not only blinding, it washed her out.
What happened here? Felicity Huffman looked so amazing at the Globes. Now she looks like a school marm. Don’t even get me started on her hair.
Speaking of hair…what’s with the pink? Rachel McAdams may be young, but come on! Oh and the dress, the white shoes…forget it, I’m at a loss.
