Name three Chicago-based fashion photographers. Hard pressed to think of even one? Chicago’s talent may be less well known, but is certainly not less brilliant. Five hot, Chicago-based photographers in the fashion world presented their work last night at Click It! – part of Chicago’s Top 10 Winter Delights.
Photographers, fashionistas, designers, media and friends mingled while sipping chocolate treats and discussing the provocative work on display. Jack Perno, whose space Skylight Studios held the event, showed his Polaroid emulsion lift images, done in deep, rich hues and showing off fantastic fashion.
Perno described the evening as an opportunity for "photographers and talent to get together under one roof with a collective consciousness."
David Anthony, who has worked all over the world and is now Chicago-based, showed images from his contributions to the hit show "Ugly Betty" and major consumer magazines.
Anthony finds Chicago just as relevant to his work as other major cities he has worked in. "I think Chicago should give itself more credit than it does," he said. "You’ve got an incredible base of
international people here… I never think of Chicago as being in the Midwest. I think of it as a New York or Paris."

Skylight Studios will be showing the collection for approx. two weeks. Call to make an appointment for a showing. 312.829.5292
