February 6, 2007 • New York Fashion Week Fall '07

Summary: Monique Lhuillier is probably best known for her gorgeous bridal gowns, and her signature feminine, romantic style definitely in her runway show.  Lots of beading, sequins, and shine were key components to her red-carpet ready collection.

Color Palette: Bronze, black, and nude with a few hits of jewel tones like emerald green and sapphire blue.

Textures and Details: layered sheer fabrics, metallics, elaborate beading, brocades.

Key Looks: Long satin column dresses, pencil skirts, layers of ruffled chiffon, lots of emphasis on the waist with belts and other detailing, asymmetrical (one-shouldered) and strapless gowns that highlight the shoulders and collarbone.

Overall Impression: We’ll definitely be seeing these dresses on the red carpet.
