Fashion Week 2007. Ultra Luxe at Michael Kors. Second City Style Fashion Blog.

February 7, 2007 • New York Fashion Week Fall '07

Summary: Another collection of all-American luxury from Michael Kors.

Color Palette: Black, white and tons of different shades of gray, with pops of bright orange and cobalt blue.

Textures and Details: Fur, cashmere, and yet more metallic (this trend is definitely still going strong).  Leopard print, fringe, and sequins were also spotted.

Key Looks: Sparkly gowns and little cocktail dresses, skinny belts worn over coats and dresses, fur trim, big sunglasses, huge plush fur coats, many variations on the classic trench, shirtdresses and other menswear details, big, drapey cowl necks.  Hair was straight and sleek, and the makeup was fresh and simple, with emphasis on the eyes.

Overall Impression: Kors’ regular clientele of socialites should love it, and there was enough variation on his runway to ensure that there was something for virtually everyone.
