Fashion Week 2007. Fashion Kaleidescope at Anna Sui. Second City Style Fashion Blog.

February 8, 2007 • New York Fashion Week Fall '07

Summary: Lots of color, lots of print, lots of detailing.  Accessories ranging from over-the-knee violet leather boots to sequinned hats.  Yup, we’re at Anna Sui all right.

Color Palette: Every shade in the rainbow was represented in the wide variety of prints.

Textures and Details: Again, everything under the sun from nubby knits to the ominipresent satin and silk charmeuse.

Key Looks: Loose, body-skimming knee-length dresses were the most common silhouette, sometimes paired with furry coats or satin trenches.  There were also plenty of colorful boots and hats.

Overall Impression: Anna Sui is always tons of fun, but there was a bit too much going on in this collection – some of the looks were darkly romantic, and some were more hippie chic.  Her devotees should still find plenty to love, though.  The colorful print dresses and accessories are quintessential Sui.
