Fashion Week Fall 2007. Carmen Marc Valvo Goes Sleek and Sexy. Second City Style Fashion Blog

February 11, 2007 • New York Fashion Week Fall '07

Carmen Marc Valvo is known for his sleek, sexy designs, and this collection was no exception.  This collection was a little more elegant than his previous shows, however, but the restraint really works.  The models looked like futuristic ballerinas in their graceful chiffon and flowing skirts.

Color Palette: Black, white, and various shades of gray lent a bit of an icy, frozen feeling to the collection.

Textures and Details: Delicate chiffon grounded with fur and long, black leather gloves.

Key Looks: Sleek little dresses composed of intricate layers of chiffon and silk that fit like a glove are surefire hits.  Of course, there was plenty of metallic – a tulip-shaped pewter strapless dress rocked.  The bracelet-length sleeves and belted waists were also right on trend for this fall.

Overall Impression: Gorgeous clothes that I went to wear right now.
