Milan Fashion Week ’07. Girlishly Quirky at Marni. Second City Style Fashion Blog.

February 22, 2007 • Fashion Shows

Marni devotees know that their favorite label will always come through with the kind of romantic, bohemian clothes they love.  There were plenty of loose, intricately folded dresses and coats that, when belted, had a very carefree feel to them.  The color palette was mostly neutrals, with a few pops of color like kelly green, lemon yellow and royal blue and purple (or all of these combined to make a crazy print).  One of the things that stood out was the colorful satin and wooden platform shoes – a great accessory for fall, regardless of whether you’re a Marni fan or not.

Overall Impression: Long time Marni girls will love it, but there’s nothing incredibly new or groundbreaking here.  Personally, the collection reminded me of both Prada’s and Vera Wang’s past few seasons.
