From the VISION show:
“Northern Exposure,” cable-knit sweaters and knit dresses accented with Fair Isle patterns, fur vests, corduroy bottoms, leggings and boots.
“School Daze” trend of sophisticated prep-school looks in hues of red, black and gray. Prim, Peter Pan–collar dresses, sweet jumpers, argyle prints and plaid skirts.
“Nod to Mod” various looks from the ongoing 60’a trend. Styles included colorful paisley-print dresses paired with short coats, graphic black-and-white trapeze dresses and a chemise decorated with paillettes.
“Rock Steady,” a hippie twist softened the look as fringed suede coats and rock
’n’ roll tees were paired with distressed jeans and hippie-style dresses.
“All Mixed Up” section, which took an emerging Boho (oh no) trend in tones of maroon and brown and melded it with Latino style and a romantic gypsy look.
From the StyleFile show:
The “Strong Suit” group included clean, 1960s-inspired shapes and suits layered
with glamorous fur coats. Power suits with pin stripes, gloves and modern athletic-inspired drawstring details accented the collections.
An “Alpine Chic” grouping of sophisticated sweaters, trousers, coats and furs in a white, cream and taupe palette looked perfect for the ski slopes.
“Country Class” showed English country looks in tweeds, plaids and soft paisley
prints in strong earth tones.
Designer labels, including Badgley Mischka and Sue Wong, were featured in the “Evening Shine” finale of metallic-sequined cocktail dresses and flowing gowns in mocha, copper and gun-metal hues.See the Top Ten Summer 2016 Trends for Women Over 40
