Gorgeous clothes from Max Mara, Jason Wu, Donna Karan, and other fabulous designers in a beautiful setting – what more could fashion-loving girl want? Chicago Social Magazine and the Merchandise Mart teamed up to celebrate Art Chicago with a fashion show featuring looks from some of the city’s best retailers.
Held in tent in front of the Chicago Apparel Center, the city skyscrapers provided a perfect backdrop for the stylish clothes on the runway and on the very well-dressed spectators. Standouts included intricately draped chiffon gowns in neutral tones from Donna Karan, slinky black and gray evening looks from Jason Wu, and breezy frocks from 3.1 Philip Lim. The guests were equally fashionable – SCS spotted plenty of cool summer dresses (empire waists were particularly popular) and platform sandals. Who says that the Midwest has no style?
