Virgins Saints & Angels has just debuted their beautiful new Antiqua Collection, inspired by
antique lace. Hand made by a team of 32 craftsmen in San Miguel De
Allende, Mexico – the collection layers delicate pieces of 24kt gold
and sterling silver to create gorgeous belt buckles, pendant necklaces,
earrings and cuffs.
Four years ago, designer Cheryl Finnegan gave up her life in San Francisco and her job at Levi Strauss to create her dream jewelry line. Her passion for iconic females such as Eve, Frida Kahlo and the Virgin of Guadalupe led her to create Virgins Saints & Angels, a line of accessories celebrating the goddesses who encourage enlightenment, expression, and creativity. In the spirit of these unique women – no two pieces are alike.
Everything is handmade by an extended family of 32 craftsmen. Virgins Saints & Angels
uses local resources: scraps from a nearby motorcycle leather supplier, hand blown glass, recycled beads and hand-painted medallions – to create each piece.
“It’s not about religion,” says Finnegan, “it’s about finding your own personal inspiration, whether it is art, love or anything that you hold close to your heart.”
