Chicago’s fashionable finest were at Intermix last night for an evening of cocktails, shopping, and style. One of the major players on the national fashion scene, Intermix carries designers ranging from big names like See by Chloe and M by Missoni to smaller, more exclusive labels like Fluet and Thread Social.
Dresses were the story of the night, both on the racks and on the stylish crowd. Trendy trapeze and a-line silhouettes were popular, as well as more slinky shapes in bold colors like emerald green and sapphire blue. Plenty of metallics were on hand as well, in the form of strappy sandals and edgy tops. Guests sipped vodka mojitos and champagne as they shopped for stylish summer pieces.
Some of the other major summer trends at Intermix include feminine white eyelet and lace, cute casual flats, and wide-legged jeans. Lantern-sleeved blouses, cropped jackets, and slouchy metallic bags rounded out the "mix".
SCS also got the chance to catch with some local favorites, including designer Orlando Espinoza, handbag designer Diego Rocha, jewelry designer Kristen Amato, and bridal and eveningwear designer Michelle Rahn. Who says the Midwest doesn’t have a fashion scene?
