Stepping out in style doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune.
Remember: no matter what your budget is, you have a lot of choices
(just spot the trend and pick your price point). The concept of
high/low dressing basically means you can mix pricey items with those
bargain basement steals if you know how to match them correctly. So,
from high heels to low flats, here are the hottest deals for shoe-aholics for the upcoming fall season.

Granny Inspired Lace-Up

Marc Jacobs ($800) at Saks Fifth Avenue vs. DV by Dolce Vita ($79.95) at Nordstrom
I’m a fan of the grandma-esque kicks; they are funky and look great
with wide-leg pants. Plus, the thicker heels on these pumps alleviate
ankle sprains.
Winner: Marc Jacobs — be careful of synthetic materials.

Bettye Muller ($395) at Neiman Marcus vs. Steve Madden ($79.95) at  Nordstrom

Hmmm… these shoes look almost exactly alike. However, I love the
wide ankle strap, which is a ubiquitous detail this season. And, much
like last fall, red is not off of the radar.
Winner: Steve Madden — I’m a sucker for metallic.
