Beauty Beat. Rejuvinate with Juvederm…During Your Lunch-Hour. Second City Style Fashion & Beauty Blog

August 7, 2007 • Beauty

Earlier this year Carol and I went under the needle to shave years off our profiles with the injectables Botox and Juvéderm™. At the time, Juvéderm™  (the next generation injectable of Restylane and Perlane) was relatively new on the market. In 2006 it was approved by the FDA to last up to six months. The news now gets better. Not only is Allergan (the maker of Botox and Juvéderm™ ) the first company to boast the smoothest dermal filler, it now has the distinct pleasure of being the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler to receive a FDA label extension…Juvéderm™ can now say it lasts up to a year.

What does that mean in layman’s terms? OK, say you want to eradicate those parenthesis lines (the ones around your mouth) because they are a dead giveaway that you are no longer in your 20’s. Your boss will kill you if you take any more days off work, because you have already called in sick 3 times this summer to spend a few extra days in the Hampton’s. What’s a girl (yes, we still see a girl when we look in the mirror) to do?

Before & After

It’s no longer a secret you can pop over to your ‘doctor’ during lunch to get a little Botox here and a little filler there. If your dermatologist, uses Juvéderm™ chances are, you might not need ‘tweaking’ again for up to a year. Use the other fillers and you may have to go back in six months.

The best part is, the results are immediate and can be truly amazing, oh and you can go right back to work and your boss will not be the wiser. Although you will look so rested you may get a bigger workload.
