Seems like an odd concept, but it’s not the first time The Peanuts Gallery gang, will serve as inspiration
for the September 7 MetLife Snoopy in Fashion event in Bryant
Park in Manhattan.
Mizrahi, Heatherette, Jeremy Scott, Pamella Roland and Betsey Johnson are among the designers on
board for the runway show, according to WWD. Participants in the show were asked to draw inspiration from Snoopy and the gang for their runway looks. Over the years,
Gianni Versace, Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Oleg Cassini, Fendi and
others have designed clothes for Snoopy and his sister Belle, according
to the cartoonist’s widow, Jeannie.
Following Fashion Week, the runway creations will be auctioned on eBay to
benefit Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization that provides
professional attire to disadvantaged women and helps with career
