designer Alexander Terexov made a quiet and concise statement with his Spring
’08 collection. His designs were clean and contemporary, and the shapes,
completely wearable. There was an ease to the looks and it was translated to
the models who sauntered easily, and appeared (as they rarely do) to be quite
Palette: Gentle shades like pearl, soft yellow, black, blush-gray, charcoal, dove-gray,
bronze, slate, ivory, khaki, rose and pink.
& Details: Shiny rayon, cotton, cashmere, silk, polyester, leather belts
and lycra mixes. Hooded jackets, exaggerated collars, off-the-shoulder tops
with pouf sleeves, exposed zippers and ruffles.
Key Looks: An
ivory, cotton jacket with high collar. Silver rayon long-sleeve, snap-front
gown reminiscent of a satin bathrobe. Also, a tightly bound, ballerina-inspired
top with skirt.
