Popsicle princess, creamsicle queen…I’m not sure why more of these models aren’t smiling about Michael Kors Spring 2008 collection. Bright, delicious, optimistic and certainly crafted with the consumer in mind his color palette is vibrant but still soft enough to compliment the high pants, flowing dresses and classic hemlines that populate the collection. He brings back the wide-brimmed hat we saw last fall but instead of looking like a duplicate it somehow looks fresh (which is odd because these silhouettes still really belong to Jacobs, who borrowed some from YSL back in the day). Still, Michael Kors’ does what he always does best, create a collection where a woman can just reach into her closet, close her eyes and pull something out with confidence that it will be just perfect— and of course, it is.
