Summary: The spectacular view from Studio 450 and the bright white open loft set the stage for a bright modern presentation at Thuy. Four Groups of four beautiful models moved about the room and created a space for guests to view the collection in four corners of the room. All very neat, modern and symmetrical, just like the collection.
One group was light and fresh in white, a second was tuxedo inspired with shorts, skirts and separates. The third group featured dresses in a mod 60s vintage floral jacquard of dark grey, yellow and silver. And the last group had a black, white, grey and metallic dreses, including a vivid blue satin dress. All of the pieces had great details, seams, and modern elements. The whole upper back of the simple vivid blue sheath dress was open with a large circular cutout. The fit and tailoring of all of the pieces were impeccable, close to the body, yet looked easy to wear and not at all restrictive. Nothing was the usual, each piece had interesting seaming details or was very sculptural.
Color Palette: white, blush, silver gray, luminous blue, silver, yellow, silver and grey abstract floral.
Textures & Details: silk lame, linens, gauze, brocade, swiss dot, dotted silk, silk double georgette, metallic cotton, herringbone, stripes.
Key Looks: Jackets and separates, tulip skirts, higher waisted tapered pants, shimmering fabrics, natural linens, simple and clean lines. Unusual seaming and modern sculpted twists.
