And by palatable I mean I can be sold. This season many of these items look almost Gap-worthy which leads this reviewer to ask herself what’s really at the heart of this collection. Clearly Rodriguez took a liking to soft geometric forms, as evidenced by his use of a deep V-neck (triangular neckline), circle and semi-circle detail and short blunt hemlines.
The palette is decidedly neutral and even appears so after bursts of bold melon and watermelon hues. Gray is imported from this past season and the omipresence of black and white confirm my "dream of retail success" theory. These pieces are certainly cute and some of them even have his signature feminine flair but overall is lacks the depth and personality I’ve come to expect.
