NY Fashion Week Spring ’08. Carolina Herrera’s Floral Infusion. Second City Style Fashion blog

September 10, 2007 • Fashion Shows

Like the pleasures of an old English garden, Carolina Herrera’s flurry of florals takes delight in its rough and tumble appearance: dainty it is not but beauty it boasts. With a palette that adds another delightful chapter to the season’s color story, her choice of blues, oranges, reds and the season staple: black all make an appearance as bold printed flowers or circular concoctions that bemuse the viewer with their shiny, simple charm. And while her sportwear-style pieces don’t really add anything important to the collection, her infamous gown don’t simply flutter down the runway but whisk both wearer and spectator away to a sunny, happy place.
