Here are some more eclectic trends celebs are rockin’ this Fall…
I’m all for color block, but sometimes it gets to be just a little too much. (Remember Austrailian designer Jayson Brunsdon’s show on Fashion Week? He did it for half the show!) On shoes, however, it’s just the right touch! Karl Lagerfeld is the king and Chanel is known for this with their catchy black and white numbers, but look who we spotted flaunting an intense pair of two toners. It’s The O.C.’s Rachel Bilson wearing Marc Jacobs two-tone ankle strap pumps!

It’s not just about leather anymore! Leather on stars just went up with a knotch with quilted patterns that totally give the smooth texture a funky kick. Saks features super luxe Dolce & Gabbana silver quilted leather jacket and eLUXURY has a sweet gun metal stud accented quilted leather from Rock & Republic. And who could forget Chanel’s classic quilted tote, the one constantly toted by one Lauren Conrad.
And then there’s the exclusive Marc Jacobs quilted leather Stam bag I’m coveting—the one MJ devotees Nicole Richie and Hilary Duff carry around constantly.

The Bug-Eyed Wonders
I love my Gucci oversize frames. They’re a bit on the big size and they take over my face, but they’re perfect for feeling glamour queen on a day when you’d rather just crawl back into bed. But I’ve had them for two years and they’re just a bit scratched. It’s time to trade them up for a new pair of hot shades. If I could get any new sunglasses right now, it would have to be the Marc Jacobs frames with the black and blue gradient lenses. The one that was spotted in Paula Deanda’s MTV music video and the pair Hilary Duff wears everywhere!!

Do we notice another trend here? What do all of these trends have in common?
His Spring ’08 collection show and after party proved to be one of the biggest celeb-attended events during NY Fashion Week and his maxed out bows, muted color palettes, and Lego accents (as reported in SCS) really pleased the crowd. His runway show at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party was definitely a winner, too. Celebs love to wear him and be with him. And if you’re an MJ muse—fuggedabouit! Sofia Coppola and Winona Ryder have the bragging rights on this one, but in 2006, SCS’s Joanne Molina reported that little Dakota Fanning herself may just the next one!
But I think Mischa Barton, Hilary Duff, Ashley Olsen, and Zooey Deschanel are totally trying to take away tiny Dakota’s title.
