Fashion Focus Chicago 07 Kicks Off. Chicago Designers Debut at Macy’s. Second City Style Fashion Blog

October 11, 2007 • Fashion

Tuesday evening Macy’s on State Street held a reception for the Designers of Chicago Collections. Last year this same event was crowded and rather frenzied. At that time Field’s had recently changed to Macy’s and they introduced close to 50 designers! It was exciting but it seemed that some of the designers got lost in the crowd.

Selecting only 19 designers, as they have done this year, will give designers a better opportunity to get their name out to Chicago shoppers, sell their lines, and eventually get some national recognition.

Where can you find the Designers of Chicago in Macy’s on State Street?

Third Floor – Women’s Apparel Designers:  Designers Cyndi Chan, Michelle Tan, Orlando Espinoza,  Laura Lein and Katrin Schnabl. Some of these pieces will be highlighted in Macy’s Designers of Chicago Fashion Show in Millennium Park on Oct. 12.
