Last week I met one of my girlfriends for breakfast—both of us
squeezing in an hour of “girl time” before rushing to the office for
the 10-hour work day. Of course, throughout the conversation, we got to
the topic of shopping. Both of us in the working world, I asked her
what was her most difficult shopping challenge. She said,“It’s so hard finding a stylish suit that isn’t classic but isn’t cheap, you know? I just can’t seem to find one!” So, to my dear friend, I went on a hunt for that stylish, yet workable, business suit.

Whenever asking advice on finding the perfect suit, you almost
always hear similar responses — invest in one that is standard, classic
and will last forever; find one that you can mix and match with other
pieces; or find one suit that works and buy five of them. I admit I

toward the current runway, I discovered it is the perfect time to scour
the shops for the unique two-piece career attire
. stated that the
fall uniform is none other than the business suit. And if hot runway
designers can’t give suits some savvy, then we might as well donate our
briefcases now.

Luckily, these designers have indeed kicked the suit into high fashion gear. Models sporting Hermes, Valentino, Jil Sander and Miu Miu,
just to name a few, paraded the runway in either the slim and straight
power suit, the embellished jacket and slimming pants or the
delightfully curvy 1940’s feminine that would demand respect and
attention from any prospective client. Read more here
