We didn’t know they were so fashionable! No, we’re not talking about mod mommy Gwen Stefani or fashion risk taker Paris Hilton, who are constantly in the news for their fashion yeses or (ahem!) extreme fashion no-nos!

These celebs, with quiet confidence in cunning couture, stole the show from their other fashionista counterparts, with stunning designs that created the latest popular trends—boots, bright colors, and body hugging layers were all the rage!

This year was a style must for these four fashionable celebs who proved that the real surprise style winners were the ones you never thought of — but need to start watching in the New Year — because they totally rocked 2007.

Eva Mendes
This beautiful Cuban-American bombshell burst on to the scene in a small, but poignant role in the movie Training Day, and has since been capturing audiences with bold eyes and evolving movie roles. But those roles aren’t the only things that have evolved. Eva, who was once seen in a ugly sheer black dress with cutouts, has taken a turn for the best parading around in bold, unexpected colors of green, orange, red, and gold from Dolce & Gabbana and Max Azria. In one of her best outfits to date, she looks uber chic in a Stella McCartney pocket dress and Jill Stuart thigh-high boots topped with an Armani Exchange riding cap and Kooba bag. We hope she continues to stun her way into fashion fame with her bright colors and wide trousers.

Audrina Patridge
She may be known as L.C’s sidekick, but this Epic Records employee is stepping out on her own in the fashion department. She may even give The Hills maven a run for her money! Audrina proves it’s not the clothes that make the fashion pop, it’s the girl who wears it! Whether she’s dressed down in a rocker tee or promoting cute body hugging dresses from indie fashion labels like Shoshanna and Jovovich-Hawk. Audrina wins in simple chic and doesn’t have to parade around in Prada to prove it.

Emmy Rossum
She captured our hearts with her enchanting voice in The Phantom of the Opera, but it’s the beauty of her put-together outfits that really make her fashionista worthy. Emmy Rossum is all demure dame in a whimsy white beaded dress and silver clutch and an asymmetrical Spring 2007 Valentino number, but turns fiery fashion phenom in Carmen Marc Valvo red ooks that scream sophisticated sister. This fashion chameleon is under the radar, but constantly evolving, and its her fun to frothy looks that deserve to be noticed!

Katharine McPhee
Who knew American Idol wannabes could dress well? Katharine McPhee may have not been the most successful AI finalist to date, but she certainly wowed with her wardrobe. From a colorful graphic print Nieves Lavi number and a popping green silk Rory Beca tie dress to basic, elegant black, McPhee knows its not just her voice that made her a star. She dares to do what other girls can only dream of and she does it so well! Color is key and McPhee mixes it well.
