Summary: Seeing the Araks Fall 2008 collection was comparable of what it would be like to have a young girl try on her older sister’s prep school uniform or her grandfather’s sweater–only on the runway the look was considerably less adorable. The menswear inspiration hit flat in Bryant Park during the Araks runway show. The neutral color palette did little to appeal, the hemlines were either too short or hit right mid-calf for the always unflattering stumpy look, slips were at times direly in need but always nonexistent, and the scrunched knee-high socks and fishing lure-esque accents rounded up the disappointing display.
