NY Fashion Week Fall ’08. Carolina Herrera Dons the English Countryside

February 4, 2008 • New York Fashion Week Fall '08

Summary: While viewing Carolina Herrera‘s Fall 2008 collection, I had visions of the movie, The Queen, and how Herrera herself should have been the esteemed costume designer for the applauded film. Herrera’s inspiration for her fall line was the countryside, and what an elegant countryside she brought forth to the city! Riding jackets, brilliant autumn colors, flowing chiffon gowns, and accents of pheasant feathers brought the ideal preview not only of upcoming fall fashion, but of the very essence and imagery of fall itself.
