Celebrity Style. NY Fashion Week Fall ’08. Bringing Back Victorian Chic and Prim Princess.

February 13, 2008 • Celebrity Style

It seems the sophisticated stylings of classic menswear chic with upturned collars, crisp trousers, pintucked necklines, button downs, and tweed will never go out of style. Nowhere was this style more perfectly presented then at this year’s NY Fashion Week where celebs turned heads with prim princess outfits that were perfectly coiffed. Take a look.

Chloe Sevigny buttoned up at her own Opening Ceremony show, then smartly placed her preppy look under a cozy navy cardigan for a classic schoolgirl look.

Elizabeth Hilfiger, daughter of master sportswear designer Tommy, proved she’ll always be daddy’s little princess in this cinched dress with prominent white collar.

Fergie made a statement at pal Marc Jacobs fall collection wiht this high-neck halter top dress that featured a prim ruffled collar and eye-catching red skirt.

Angie Harmon stole the show in Victorian-inspired Oscar de la Renta with ruffled white puff sleeves and wide leg black pants.

Perhaps it was star stylist Rachel Zoe who pulled it off best at Donna Karan where she paired a black vest and trousers with a silk white shirt and prominent white bowtie. Could she have been paying attention to the Bill Blass show?
