WWD just published the list of the top 20 most-viewed New York fall collections on Style.com. The list was compiled by the total page views over the first twelve days following each collection’s presentation. If this list is any indication of sales…Marc Jacobs will continue to reign supreme! The usual suspects made the list, but there were some noteworthy
newcomers to the rankings, including Rodarte and Alexander
1. MARC JACOBS
Page views: 2,625,233
Jacobs sent out volumized classics, and he glammed up
shirts and slouchy trousers. His choices of color: soothing pastels,
lilac, aquas, pinks and neutrals.
2. MARC BY MARC JACOBS
Page views: 1,823,818
Jacobs’ Eighties vibe, mixed in
with a little punk rock. The designer’s secondary line featured boxy
shift dresses, brash prints, mini pouf skirts, opaque tights, black berets and retro

Ralph Lauren showed a beautiful collection playing his urbane side with lush
black and charcoal cashmeres. Of course his love of all things Southwestern was present in oversized Navajo sweaters, blanket coats and fitted plaid.

sent out pleated, flounced and feathered frocks, sexy baby dolls and
black-and-white bib dresses. He also managed to work in a smartly
tailored pantsuit, and showed an inventive take on a smoking jacket in

purples and greens, along with some black discreet numbers.

McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s collection had the biggest jump
in the rankings (up from number 12 a year ago). The showing was
one of provocative, polished looks for fall. The palette captivated — sapphire, copper, aubergine — as did the triangular
dresses, short skirts and wide pants.

Michael Kors’ fall look played up everything from the sexy librarian to the young society
matron to the aspiring career girl. As usual, there was something for everyone.

Contemporary looks included everything from boyfriend blazers,
military coats and cable-knit sweaters.
10. BETSEY JOHNSON

In celebration of her 30th anniversary, Johnson paid homage to every decade she has designed for. The collection included black catsuits, signature flirty
dresses, jumpsuits, sweater dresses and separates.
11. DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

Furstenberg showed belted coats and jackets with
lots of layering for day. For evening, she sent out curvaceous gowns, along
with flapper-like dresses, complete with sequins and beads.
12. VERA WANG

Wang’s ballerina side came out. Her collection was "measured study in color, texture, silhouette and
proportion," according to program notes. She stayed slim with a black
barrel dress and went curvy with others, like a tobacco cashmere over a
side-drape orange skirt.

Donna Karan’s silk wrap dresses, shimmery jersey
dresses, evening gowns and even oversize sweater jackets were a stunning turnaround.

Francisco Costa’s fall
collection for Calvin Klein was structured. He sent out sculptured looks in hammered
wool, boiled cashmere and shearling fabrics.

yarns and knits full of color and texture. The designers offered pale

ripped jeans and off-kilter tanks.
19. BCBG MAX AZRIA

dresses Max and Lubov Azria showed for fall featured origami pleats,
asymmetric ruffles and slim silhouettes. The duo took a subtle approach
to some, like the cream silk crepe dress and a slim heather beige
