We’ve been inspired lately by The Sartorialist‘s coverage of Spring cool-weather looks. Maybe it’s because we really haven’t quite seen a consistent Spring in Chicago yet, or maybe it’s because these looks are just quirky and cool…either way, we’re smitten. Sweaters, scarves, and layering for Spring… who would have guessed we wouldn’t be sick of this after Winter?
We also think these looks might be a little easier to achieve that it appears… with some help from our designer friends at the Second City Store! Our favorite pieces for the layered Spring look include:
Colorful Wraps by Elyse C. Bec
Emerald Silk Wrap $145
Fishnet Scarf, $49
Small Blue Wrap, $95
A brightly-hued scarf under one of these neutral, cropped jackets may just land you in a Sartorialist shot…
And finally, try these dresses out for transitional Spring looks. In black or in a bright Spring color, they’ll work from work to recreation, daytime to evening, cold weather to some hopefully warm weather soon!
We’ll sacrifice the immediate balmy weather for a few more weeks with our cool temperature favorites! There’s always Summer for swimsuits and shorts…
