Last night, the New York Public Library hosted the Council of Fashion Designers of America for their annual awards ceremony. Among the recipients were: Francisco Costa for Womenswear Designer of the Year, Tom Ford for Menswear Designer of the Year, and Tory Birch for Accessories Designer of the Year. Furthermore, Candy Pratts Price received the Eugenia Sheppard Award. The
International Award went to Dries Van Noten, and as previously announced, Mayor Michael
Bloomberg was given the CFDA’s Board of Directors’ Special Tribute. The
Swarovski awards for emerging talent, meanwhile, went to Kate and Laura
Mulleavy of Rodarte for Womenswear, Scott Sternberg for Menswear, and Philip Crangi for Accessory Design.
