WTF Was She Thinking? The Week in Bad Celeb Style.

June 13, 2008 • Celebrity Style

Do you think celebrities get so used to cameras that they forget they’re getting photographed? After this week, we think that must be the case. Otherwise… these style choices just have no explanation.

Faith Hill at the 2008 CMA Music Festival

Comment: The Mississippi Girl just thought she was going to the grocery store, I guess.

She Was Thinking:
I bought my whole outfit at the mall on my way here!

Carrie Underwood

Comment: This color makes our retinas burn. And party streamers hanging from a rouched turtleneck is not our idea of chic this week.

She Was Thinking: I’ll dress to match the CMA logo behind me!

A bad day for fashion on TRL brought to you by…

High-waisted shorts are not a look for you, friend. Or at least, high-waisted shorts that are a size too small.

She Was Thinking: Fergie thinks that she’s got lovely lady lumps…

Katy Perry
also contributed to the TRL day of disaster

Comment: For a cute girl with a killer sense of humor, the joke’s on her. A tennis ball-colored romper complete with heart butt-patches… we’d like to let it slide, but this sort of outfit should only be worn by infants.

She Was Thinking:
What if I need to pee?

And the miscellaneous mistakes this week:

Artist Tracey Emin at the Stephen Webster jewelry launch party
Comment: Must your self-expression take this form? "Fashion" can be frightening. Quirky is one thing, and this is a-whole-nother thing.

She Was Thinking: I’m using a plastic grocery bag as a purse! Isn’t this artistic?

Tatyana Ali at the Vision Awards

Comment: It looks like she’s taking style-cues from her role on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with this ’90s throwback look.

She Was Thinking:
Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air…"

And there it is, folks! It could’ve been worse this week!
