More Ad News. Burberry Downplays Deyn, Stays Super British.

Past seasons of Burberry Ads, featuring the uber-British Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, and Jamie Wolf

Though Agyness Deyn seems to be everywhere all the time these days, the new Fall ’08 ad campaign for Burberry will move away from featuring the British model, though she will remain in the Burberry The Beat fragrance ads this
year. Taking her place as the mainstays of the brand’s print ads will be actor Sam Riley who will appear in the campaign
alongside British model Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley. According to WWD, "the duo is pictured in a
series of moody black-and-white images lensed by Mario Testino in London’s leafy
Kensington Gardens. In one shot, Riley shields himself and Huntingdon-Whiteley
against the elements with a duffle coat, while in another he poses in a skinny
black suit." Apparently, the menswear will garner as much focus as the womenswear this season, which is totally appropriate as men’s and women’s fashions appear to be merging, in inspiration anyway.
