Web News. Alexander McQueen Adds E-Commerce and Other Goodies.

July 14, 2008 • Magazine

As of today, the Alexander McQueen website will allow you to shop Autumn/Winter ’08 looks! For the first time, the official website will feature an e-commerce feature for the actual purchase of pieces, instead of just collection viewing. According to WWD, "Customers living in Manhattan, for example, can get merch the same day
if they place their orders before noon (and are willing to fork over an
extra $50)
." Designed by London-based company, Poke, the website also allows you to read more about the designer and projects that he’s involved with, and to watch videos of his runway shows.

Also, in honor of the new e-commerce addition, the company has started a sweepstakes for website visitors, where the grand prize is two tickets and accommodations to the designer’s spring 2009 runway show, slated to take place during fashion week in Paris in October. We’ll be entering!
