Don’t read below if you don’t want to know Project Runway judges and challenges for the upcoming season, starting tomorrow July 16!
Auf course, we’ll see the return of these two yearly favorites, but who else will continue to help Heidi, Nina, and Michael sift through all the talent to find the new winner? Well, here ya go.
Tomorrow plan to see former contestant who was bested by Jay McCarroll, Austin Scarlett, have the last word on outfits made from unconventional materials. As for coming episodes…
July 23: Natalie Portman helps the contestants and their models go green. Straight male designers face a serious disadvantage during this challenge because of Portman’s presence!
July 30: Sandra Bernhard judges the designers’ New York-inspired creations.
Aug. 6: Olympian (and Dancing With The Stars champ!) Apolo Anton Ohno inspires the contestants to create Olympics-worthy looks. (Are they going to make speed-skating outfits? Can Apolo model each and every one?)
Aug. 13: Lipstick Jungle star Brooke Shields
teaches the designers a thing or two about dressing the part – of a
professional working woman.
Aug. 20: Hot tranny RuPaul‘s in the house for some "Good Queen Fun." Oh lord. This is going to be better than last season’s WWE Divas challenge. You better work! But shouldn’t they have just called this the hot tranny mess challenge?
Aug. 27: Celeb stylist and fashion consultant Rachel Zoe leads an automobile-themed challenge. Right… guess we’ll be watching something else this Wednesday. Or maybe if a snarky contestant rips Zoe a new one… then we’ll watch.
Sept. 3: Fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg inspires the contestants with her fall collection.
Sept. 10: Calvin Klein creative director and CFDA Award Winner Francisco Costa judges astrologically inspired team projects. But who will have to design around Cancer, the crab sign? Rough.
Sept. 24: LL Cool J is the type of guy to tell the designers about fashion inspired by music. Fashion and music together this far along in the season? This episode will hopefully be as killer as it sounds!
We are thrilled with this line-up! Former contestants, interesting celebs, and true fashion heavy-hitters should make for good judging. And we can’t wait for Nina to have to agree/disagree with Rupaul. Will it be another round of this?
