WTF Was She Thinking?! The Week in Bad Celeb Style.

August 8, 2008 • Fashion

The incredible daring that the Teen Choice Award‘s brought out in its young starlets paid off for a lot of the attendees. However, for others… well, yikes.

Lil Mama

Right… we get that you are the newcomer to hip-hop, but that doesn’t mean you have to dress like a baby to put it out there. You definitely also don’t have to expose your bra while you’re at it.

She Was Thinking: Goo Goo Gaa Gaa Gargle Burble Eeeeeee!

Miley Cyrus

I can’t believe I’m going to say this… but those boots are SO LAST YEAR! Or to be more specific, so last FALL/WINTER. So why is someone this famous wearing these boots with that dress (which I’m not even going to start on)? When she is hosting the show?! I just don’t understand. Maybe she is starting to show the rebellious and non-advice-taking tendencies of Britney Spears, because surely she had a stylist, family member, or friend who said "No, Miley. That looks dumb."

She Was Thinking:

Kim Kardashian

Silver dress and shoes, poofy skirt, and a very dark lip? The only way this is appropriate for the Teen Choice Awards is that it makes Kim look like she’s headed to her high school’s Winter Ball.

She Was Thinking:
I hope I get voted Winter Ball Princess! Oh wait, I’m doing red carpet coverage for E! News?

Showing up with a big, thick, obviously fake braid down the side of your body is a definite way to get people saying "WTF?!!!"

She Was Thinking:
Rapunzel, Rapunzel…

What else was happening this week? Maxi-dresses gone wrong.

Natalie Dormer at the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour party

This has potential to be cool but… my, that is a LOT of tartan.

She Was Thinking: And you thought men were supposed to wear the kilts!

Zoe Kravitz

It’s just a matter of personal taste, but I think this print and color-combo are totally busted.

She Was Thinking: Even I’m bored by my dress. It looks like a breakfast nook in a yuppie couple’s house.

Lauren Conrad presenting her new line at Bloomingdale’s

We won’t even start in on LC, but this maxi-dress she "designed" is… urrrgly. The print looks like something you’d see under a microscope.

She Was Thinking Saying Out Loud: And my inspiration for this dress was amoebas and other microscopic organisms…

Well, that’s it for this week. Go easy on the maxi-dresses until next week!
