New York Fashion Week Spring ’09: Jenni Kayne.

Jenni Kayne’s presentation played with proportions as she explored the
dichotomy of masculine and feminine for Spring ’09. Giving a little
rough-and-tumble to typically ultra-girly styles (think A-line tank in
Floral Watercolor Silk Organza paired with the Sack Pant in Denim
Chambray) was a refreshing update to all of the florals we’ve seen this
summer. My favorite was the Denim Chambray blouse paired with a Gold
Paillette Embroidered Tube Mini, which gave an ironic but smart
sexiness to her already powerful collection.

Color Palette:
yellow, navy, white, black, cream

Fabrics & Textures:
Floral Watercolor, Ply Crepe, Denim Chambray, Suiting, Textured Cotton, Shibori Stripe Cotton Poplin, Crepe de Chine, Stone Pique Canvas, gold beaded trim
