Summary: Inspired by the classic look of film noir heroines, especially free-spirited actress Jean Seberg, Wenlan Chia of Twinkle brought a very simple and tailored aesthetic to the stage Monday morning. Fashioned in black, white, cream and grey, the plain pieces, like jumpers, drop crotch pants, and shirt dresses, were highlighted by streaks of color like blue, pink, and mint. But the stars of the Twinkle universe were clearly the prints. Six of Wenlan’s new handcrafted prints debuted and, if the collection lacked a little luster perhaps because of its simplicity, the prints definitely provided the sparkle at Twinkle.
