Summary: It is no secret I adore Narciso Rodriguez. Nobody does sculpturally exquisite clothing like he does. So I was looking forward to his show the most this week and as expected…he did not dissapoint. The deisgner called his spring collection "Rocking ninja-star action" I would call it "rocking hot!" Normally known for his monocrohmatic color palette with detailed seam and banding work, Rodriguez successfully implimented prints in black and white star patterns, beautiful mosaic prints, a houndstooth print and bugle-bead embroidery this season. Even his one-sleeved
bandage dresses (a la Herve Leger) were works of art. The collection was edgy and tough, yet ultra-feminine with Rodriguez using lust-worthy spring colors like sage, coral, hot pink, kelly green and nude. He also took his banding expertise to new levels arranging and criss-crossing them geometrically on numerous looks. In addition, there were daring cut-outs that he employed throughout to reveal a flash of skin beneath the bust or the waist. Surely Claire Danes who was sitting in the star-studded front row had all of her red carpet looks picked out for spring. Me? I was just heartbroken when the amazing 46 piece collection spectacle ended and I had to go home. Kudos.
