Summary: Brian Reyes presented a finely crafted, sophisticated and wearable collection for Spring ’09. The colors were mild, rarely straying from neutrals and black, but the shapes were exquisite. Extremely chic slim-cut suits, tiered ruffle dresses and petaled boleros expressed the designer’s vision of a young sophisticate where the colors failed. Pocket tees and sweaters were elevated from a classic, casual style to a transitional day to evening look. Although the show may have lacked a powerful wow factor, the chic clothes certainly won’t send any pretty young thing to the worst dressed list.
