It turns out that not every celeb in attendance to a designer’s runway show showed up clad in the designer’s own work.
So which stars did show their true devotion to the label of their favorite designer? And which ones looked good even when they didn’t? And what were those amazing outfits they were wearing? We’re dying to know!
Nicole Richie-Marc Jacobs
How could you not wear Marc Jacobs to Marc Jacobs! Gasp! (Ask J.Lo, she wore Roland Mouret!) Well, at least Nicole Richie wore Marc Jacobs…sort of. Nicole paired a white James Perse with a leather-wrap tulip skirt form Marc Jacobs and Pierre Hardy peep-toe booties. She also outshined the room in a crystal headband by Stacey Lapidus.
Jennifer Lopez-Marc Jacobs
We’re a bit surprised by J.Lo’s choice, as not only did she not wear Marc Jacobs to a Marc Jacobs show, but instead a RM by Roland Mouret white dress that was previously worn by Heidi Klum. J.Lo, you should know better!
Jessica Alba-Narciso Rodriguez
Jessica Alba showed up to the Narciso Rodriguez show in–what else–pink-and-black Narciso Rodriguez. In her only Fashion Week front row appearance thus far, Jessica wows in her silk dress, black tights and black shoes.
Looking every so party girl childish, Kelly Osbourne donned a turquoise Betsey Johnson dress for her show and she wore it with a smile. I mean how could you not wear Betsey to Betsey? The show itself surprised us with how tame it was for BJ, though the floral looks and wedding dresses were divine. But Kelly’s baby girl poof skirt cried out as the wild child in all of us.
At the Y-3 show, fearless fashionista Peaches Geldof wore absolutely no Y-3 whatsoever. Instead she chose American Apparel leggings with her printed tee, Topshop tuxedo blazer and Topshop ankle boots. The most stand-out element of her ensemble? Her own glittery headband (like Richie) from Pas Comme Les Moutons.
Zoe Saldana-Herve Leger
NY Magazine’s Fashion Week updates told us that tennis star Maria Sharapova was one of the few people that could really pull off a Herve Leger look, but we’d like to think it’s actress Zoe Saldana, who pulled off this otherwise very basic looking bandage dress with fire and finesse.
We thought perhaps Leigton Meester would appear at every front row (surprisingly Gossip Girl co-stars Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen barely came to any) and lucky for us, she practically did. And she looked good at every one! Here she wears a sleeveless cream-colored dress from Mr. Phillip Lim himself at his collection showing. She also carries a Josephine clutch by Jada Loveless and wears Jimmy Choos Private Palladium metallic sandals. Utterly divine!
