Summary: My expectations were high. Who doesn’t love wonder design child Phillip Lim these days? He has become the fashion for the masses designer of demand for the contemporary market. Well, you know that feeling you get when you are stretched so thin that your are all over the place? Unfocused. You get your work done, but it’s not as great as you had hoped? That is what I thought when I saw Phillip Lim’s collection. A little bit of Spanish influence for spring went a long way. Mostly in the form of ruffles. They showed up on dresses, tops, skirts and trenches. The heavy Louboutin shoes were also a bit severe matched with this collection. I just hope he finds his focus again for fall.
