September 16, 2008 • Accessories

We know it’s a little early to think Spring, but…the following four completely different looks from the New York Fashion Week Spring ’09 runway. All the makeup listed is MAC.

Nicole Miller – Soulful Voodoo Girl

Eye: Use Sketch eyeshadow to create a plum smokey eye. Apply the greatest concentration in the crease then blend down toward the lid and up toward the brow bone and also brushed around lower lashline. Auto-de-Blu Tecknakohl liner was drawn on the lower waterline of the eyes. Pearl Cream Colour Base was blended into the inner corner of the eyes. Apply one coat of mascara to top lashed and lightly touch lower lashes.

Face: Fun & Games Beauty Powder Blush was applied to cheekbones and blended towards the apples of the cheeks. Pearl Cream Colour Base was touched onto the top of the cheekbones to highlight.

Lip: Blankety lipstick and C-Thru Tinted Lipglass

Herve Leger – a little punk, like a younger Patti Smith

Eye: Smolder Eye Kohl applied to water line and inbetween lashes of top and bottom lash lines. A thin slick line of Blacktrack Fluidline was layered on the top lash line following the natural shape of the eye. One coat of Coal Black Pro Lash Mascara was applied to lashes.

Face: Strobe Cream massaged into skin for a radiant glow.

Lip: Lip Conditioner SPF 15 was patted onto lips.

Carolina Hererra – dramatic with softness. The inspiration of the collection was Booticelli and the contrast of black and white. So the look was of a strong eye and soft lip.

Eye: Smolder Eye Kohl was used along the lash and blended into the crease. Lucky Tom Eye Shadow was swept across the lid and under the eye.

Face: Sculpt MAC Pro Sculpting Powder was swept below the cheekbone to contour. Tippy powder blush was applied to cheeks and Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish was used as a highlight on the cheekbones.

Lip: Nude MAC Pro Cream Color Base was patted onto lips. Lip Conditioner was patted over. Bubbles lipstick was layered over the conditioner.

Derek Lam – Sensual, Fresh and Modern

Eye: Omega or Coquette eye shadow brushed on to define the natural brow. Concrete eye shadow blended into the crease of the eye and lower lash line and pulled out toward the temple to elongate the eye.

Face: Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish mixed with Pinkberry eye shadow to highlight the cheekbones. Paradisco eye shadow mixed with Fun and Games Powder Blush brushed along the cheekboones, chin and nose.

Lip: Yogurt and Paradisco pressed onto the lips.
