Summary: Michael Kors is stepping into his role as one of America’s design elite this year as he never has before. With his red, white and blue palette and classic shapes, he consciously nodded to his own origins and future. Sports and sensuality replaced out-and-out sex in his dresses despite their mature features– skin bearing cut outs, hardware and hip-high slits. Bold lines, bright colors and big prints told the story, and it was unmistakable, if also unexpected from Kors– beautiful, simple Americana sportswear.
